I’ve always loved to write, and most of all, I love to write love stories…totally made-up, about characters who are born in my imagination. I’m a Pollyanna at heart and a happy ending is what I want for everyone.
As soon as I learned how to string words into sentences and paragraphs or lines and stanzas, I dabbled at writing. I should have known in college, when writing papers was the highlight of any course, that I should pursue writing as a career. After several false starts in careers that were not for me, yet contributed important stepping stones, I landed a job as a business journalist. I had the privilege of interviewing CEOs, politicians, and best of all, entrepreneurs. People who strike out on their own to start a business and follow their dream have stories that are truly inspiring and worthy of celebration. I felt privileged to hear their stories—successes and failures—and to write about their experiences.
